Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio opens in India on Tuesday, February 15th. Launched in the US last year, the device is aimed at developers, creative professionals, designers and gamers. It comes in a variety of configurations and offers “desktop power, laptop portability and creative studio”. It features a 14.4-inch pixelSense flow touchscreen display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Quad Omnisonic speakers with 11th-gen Intel Core H35 processors and Dolby Atmos. Microsoft claims that this is the most powerful Surface laptop.

Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio in India starts at Rs. 1,56,999 (commercial price) and Rs. 1,65,999 (consumer price) for base model with Intel Core i5 11th Gen processor, 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio launched in the US in September last year. It comes with magnesium and aluminum casing. It runs Windows 11 out-of-the-box and has a dynamic woven hinge that allows you to move the display to multiple angles. The keys allow you to convert the device from a traditional notebook to a tablet or canvas. The Surface Slim Pen 2 has an area under the keyboard that is magnetically attached.
Another feature of the convertible laptop is the ability to be used in three different modes: laptop mode, stage mode and studio mode. Laptop mode provides a typical laptop-like experience, with stage mode covering the keyboard by dragging the display forward for gaming, streaming, docking and presentation but the touchpad is used at an exposed angle. The third mode is called Studio Mode where it can be used like a canvas or for writing notes.
The Surface laptop studio has a 14.4-inch pixel flow display with a resolution of 2,400×1,600 pixels, 10-point multi-touch support and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The display also comes with 201ppi resolution, 3:2 aspect ratio and Dolby Vision support. Under the hood, the Microsoft Surface laptop studio is paired with quad-core 11th gen Intel Core H35 processors (up to 11370h) with up to 32GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 2TB of SSD storage. The Intel Core i5 models feature Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics and the ones with Intel Core i7 processors come with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti dedicated GPU with 4GB of GDDR6 memory.
The device comes with Windows Hello Face authentication, 1080p front-facing camera, dual four-field studio mics and quad omnisonic speakers with Dolby Atmos. Security options in Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio include enterprise-grade security and enterprise-grade security with firmware TPM, Windows Hello Face sign-in, and Windows enhanced hardware security for enterprise-grade security and bitlocker support.
Connectivity options in the Surface Laptop Studio include two USB Type-C ports (USB 4.0 / Thunderbolt 4), a 3.5mm headphone jack, a Surface Connect port, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth v5.1. Laptops with Intel Core i5 processors offer a maximum of 19 hours of normal device usage and come with a 65W Surface Power Supply Adapter. Models with Intel Core i7 processors offer a maximum of 18 hours of normal device usage and come with a 102W surface power supply adapter. Laptop dimensions 323.28×228.32×18.94mm.
